Simone Stahel has always been driven by a desire to truly understand how things work and connect. Long before AI became mainstream, she was drawn to it as a way to explore where machines can help us see and understand the world differently (and where they clearly shouldn’t). Her path led her across disciplines from biology to autonomous systems and economics, shaping a broad, systems‑level view of technology and its impact.
Today, she leads data, analytics, automation, and AI globally at METTLER TOLEDO, helping the organization move forward with AI responsibly and at scale—from experimentation to everyday use. Simone enjoys bridging humans and technology, asking uncomfortable questions, and applying AI only where it creates real value. She is passionate about encouraging more women to step into data and AI roles and actively shape the field with their perspectives.
