Melissa Chapman

Millie Chapman is Assistant Professor of Environmental Policy at ETH Zurich, where she leads the Environmental Policy Lab and is affiliated with the Einstein School of Public Policy, ETH AI Center, Center for Comparative and International Studies, and Zurich–Basel Plant Sciences Center. 

Her research sits at the intersection of environmental policy, ecology, and decision science, examining how data, algorithms, and governance systems shape outcomes for people and ecosystems. 

She develops computational approaches to support effective and equitable environmental decision-making under uncertainty.
