Nicola was appointed COO and member of the P&C Reinsurance Executive Committee with effect from 3 April 2023.
She leads P&C Re's global end-to-end operational platform, with responsibility for Business Excellence, Claims, In-Force and Transactions Management.
In this role, she leads the modernisation of P&C Re's operating model.
Nicola is leading P&C Re's "Advance with AI" agenda, using AI to reimagine core underwriting and claims capabilities, augment decision-making, deepen insights, and enhance the client experience.
Nicola joined Swiss Re in 2003 and has held several senior leadership roles, including Head of P&C Business Management and Global Head of Claims for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
During her time at Corporate Solutions, she led several strategic business initiatives, including the launch of Primary Lead and International Business offerings, client retention and portfolio management strategies, and the transformation of an industry-leading claims service approach.
Nicola is a dual citizen of Great Britain and New Zealand.
She holds a BA/LLB (Hons) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
