A limited number of travel grants will be provided. Each grant will cover up to 400 CHF of travel expenses.

Travel grant recognizes a woman who is making a positive impact on the technology or the society. Students at all levels (undergraduate, graduate, post-doc) as well as industry professionals with up to 5 years of experience are welcome to apply.


Applications for WiDS Zürich 2018 are now closed.

Thank you for your interest in a travel fellowship for this years conference in Zürich! Since we have received many applications and can’t accept all of you, we will now dedicate some time to go through every application to find the most interesting, outgoing and open participants. If you missed the deadline: WiDS Zürich will be back in 2019!

 

FAQs

Can I submit my application in a language other than English? 

Please submit all application documents in English, we will not be able to consider applications in other languages at this time.

Can international students/professionals apply? 

If you meet our criteria for the travel grant eligibility, we would love to receive your application.

 

IF I AM SELECTED, HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE FUNDS? 

The funds will be transferred directly to you after the conference and based on the receipts for registration, transportation and the hotel accommodation.

I DID NOT RECEIVE THE CONFIRMATION BY FEBRUARY 26.

Check your spam folder first and please send us and email with the theme “Did not receive the confirmation” if it is not there.

 

HOW STRICT IS THE 300 WORDS REQUIREMENT FOR THE COVER LETTER?

Whilst 300 is only a guideline, we recommend you stick as closely to the word limit as possible.

 

 

What type of leadership activities should I include on my CV?

Please list any examples of leadership within your wider technology community. This might include, among others, teaching, tutoring, lecturing, mentoring, organizing summits or contributing to open source projects.
