Anita is the Head of Data Science & Business Intelligence at Migros Supermarkt AG, part of Switzerland's largest retail group. In this role, she successfully led several cross-functional, agile development teams, building machine learning as well as BI solutions. She also managed and expanded her team, establishing the product management function tailored to supermarket retail analytics. Anita has a strong technical foundation which she built through hands-on roles as both a Data Scientist and Data Engineer across diverse sectors. She holds a Master's degree in Physics and a PhD in Neuroscience from ETH Zurich. Anita spent a decade living and working in New York City before returning to her home country of Switzerland. Passionate about fostering diversity in tech, she founded the Zurich chapter of the Women in Machine Learning and Data Science Meetup group in 2018.
